The 2024 Regional Intensive is heading to Atherton Tablelands!
The 2024 QELA Regional Intensive is heading to Atherton Tablelands and will commence with a Welcome Function on Thursday, 5th September at 4pm followed by a one-day intensive to be held at the Tinaroo Lake Resort on Friday, 6th September 2024. The program will conclude with a dinner on Friday evening in Yungaburra.
The Regional Intensive has a genuine regional focus, with session content coordinated by both regional and metro-based QELA members and predominantly regional speakers.
Sessions will explore local land management and planning issues unique to the region, tourism and its impacts as well as a local government session covering the unique challenges and complexities of the region.
Delegates will have ample opportunity to network during the program. It will all start with the bus trip! On Thursday afternoon we will be collected from either Cairns Airport or a central Cairns location (TBA) and travel via coach to the Welcome Function at Lake Barrine.
Thursday evening will kick off with a Welcome Function where guests will enjoy drinks and canapes whilst cruising on Lake Barrine followed by a casual sit down dinner at the historic Lake Barrine Tea House.
Friday’s networking opportunities include lunch and tea breaks during the intensive and will finish with a Regional Intensive Dinner at the Little Eden Restaurant in Yungaburra where delegates can catch-up as they enjoy dinner.
The QELA Regional Intensive is a smaller event than our annual Conference, providing delegates greater opportunity to engage with speakers and develop professional connections with members residing and practicing in regional Queensland.
Prices exclude GST. GST will be added during the purchase process.
The cost of registration includes return transfers via coach from Cairns to Atherton Tablelands, welcome function, Regional Intensive conference sessions and all catering on Friday.
Tickets do not include accommodation or breakfast Saturday morning.

Friday, 6th September 2024 - Conference Venue - Tinaroo Lake Resort

Registration opens at 7.30am. Barista coffee and breakfast will be served.
Friday, 6th September 2024 - Dinner - Little Eden Restaurant
6.00pm – 9.00pm
At the conclusion of the day program, delegates will make their way to Little Eden Restaurant for drinks and canapes followed by a sit down dinner.

The group will depart for the drive back to Cairns airport/central

The 2024 Regional Intensive is being held in Atherton Tablelands.
All 2024 Regional Intensive tickets include return transfers from Cairns to Atherton Tablelands. The bus will depart Cairns airport at 1:45pm on Thursday 5th September 2024 and return Saturday 7th September 2024, departing at 8:30am arriving back in Cairns approximately 10.00am.
Ticket also includes bus transfers to and from motels to all conference venues within the Regional Intensive.
