The biennial Regional Intensive is heading to Central Queensland.

QELA invites all members and associates to join us in Rockhampton for a two-day intensive, Friday 25 October - Saturday 26 October 2019, to be held at the Empire Apartment Hotel, Rockhampton.

The Regional Intensive will explore issues of relevance to regional Queensland, with a particular focus on Central Queensland and the Rockhampton region.  Session topics include Planning and Economic Growth, Water Resources, Local Council Schemes, Land Use, and Regional Queensland Courts Update.

Social activities in the evening will showcase the best of local Rockhampton and provide a snapshot of a city emerging from its country-town, beef capital legacy.

Friday night explores the heritage of Rocky with a pub crawl to the historic hotels, Criterion Hotel and Heritage Hotel, and settling in for dinner and Friday night bull riding at the famous Great Western Hotel.

On Saturday evening, the Regional Intensive will head to Mount Archer for sunset drinks on the newly opened boardwalk and lookout precinct, and end our evening with a fine-dining meal at one of Rockhampton's newest establishments.
