The Queensland Environmental Law Association (QELA) is a multidisciplinary non-profit organisation.

QELA educates its members and non members about planning and environment law and issues concerning town planning and the natural environment. We provide forums for debating the law and relevant issues. Our representatives serve on many stakeholder committees reviewing legislation and government policy.

If you work in the planning and environment
field, or would like to understand it better, QELA can help.

Seminar - SPA Regulation and Guidelines - 15 February
The Sustainable Planning Act 2009 replaced the Integrated Planning Act 1997 on 18 December 2009. Unlike its predecessor, much of the operational detail for the Sustainable Planning Act 2009 is contained in regulation and statutory guidelines.

This seminar on 15 February will examine how the Regulations and Guidelines fit together and the implications for practitioners.
