Progressive rehabilitation and closure planning under the Environmental Protection Act 1994
Since 2019, site specific applications for a mining activity relating to a mining lease must be accompanied by a progressive rehabilitation and closure plan (PRCP) and proposed PRCP schedule, that address progressive rehabilitation of the land. As of 1 November 2022, 199 mining Environmental Authority holders in Queensland have received notices to begin the transition of existing mines to the PRCP framework.
Join us in this online seminar to hear about trends emerging from the first tranche of PRCP applications, and learn some tips and tricks for a successful PRCP application process.
