Planning & Environment Court Update

QELA is hosting its regular Planning and Environment Court update.  Our two speakers will present on recent cases from 2018, outlining the Court's decision and matters of interest to QELA members.

James Lyons, Barrister-at-Law, will be speaking about the recent High Court of Australia decision in Pike v Tighe [2018] HCA 9, including a discussion of the history of the matter in both the Planning and Environment Court and the Court of Appeal.

James will also discuss the process of how a Planning and Environment Court matter proceeds to the High Court of Australia.

Holly Stephanos, Barrister-at-Law, will be speaking about recent decisions of the Planning and Environment Court that are of particular importance to the sector and QELA membership.
